PlayCrafters
The Bellport Playcrafters, are a non profit community theater group based out of Bellport on Long Island NY. They have been around for ages, almost 50 years 
now. They are made up of amateur actors and performers from the surrounding communities. Volunteers are used in every aspect of the performances, from the acting right down to the directing and set creation. The Bellport Playcrafters have been known to do many special performances for local community organizations and groups. Their focus is on entertainment and education. They back that up with a scholarship opportunity for aspiring students of the arts. They have been a real asset to the community over the years, accomplishing many wonderful things, all the while keeping us entertained with their musical and theatrical performances.
They only do a couple shows a year though, so you have to stay tuned or you will miss out on the opportunity. Their next theatrical performance should be sometime in Spring of 2009, and we will follow up here with more detailed info on the what, where, when and why. We have some information on what shows are being performed over there this holiday season. There are a number of good ones coming up.
